Kukšu Manor

The current residential quarters of the Kukšu Manor according to the historians was constructed in the first half of the 18th century, and initially it was a one-storey stone building with a four-sided roof. In the middle of the 19th century, as a result from several reconstructions, it obtained the features of the Classicism manor architecture. The park of the manor complex was also created around the same time. The manor is considered to be an excellent example of Latvian manor architecture, where due to gradual evolution, a stylistic synthesis between Baroque and late Classicism occurred. Black-glazed tile furnaces from the mid-18th century and doors, as well as several mural paintings from the 19th century have been preserved in the manor.

Kukši Manor house offers delicious local cuisine, using fresh local produce in season. There is no set menu. Meals are made to order, and guests may choose from available products. The restaurant is not open to the general public. Meals are prepared if ordered in advance and for guests staying at the manor.
